Barry’s Bay & Area Senior Citizens Home Support Services is seeking an individual to fill a Finance leave, as well as provide team support for our Meals on wheels (MOW) and Transportation (TR) program. This will be a 6 month, fulltime contract position. It is expected that there will be the option of part-time hours after the contract period.

As a member of the Administrative Team, you will work to support the delivery of person-centered services. Your focus will be to fulfill all bookkeeping duties, assist with financial reporting requirements, and support the MOW and TR program.

Minimum requirements:

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience with computer-based accounting
  • Experience with all aspects of Bookkeeping
  • Ability to use Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preference will be given if you have experience with:

  • Sage Accounting
  • Direct Deposit Payroll System (Pay works)
  • Non-profit, Charitable Sector
  • Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Reporting Systems
  • 2 or more years of experience in Payroll, Accounting and Clerical
  • CIMS-client information management system
