| Taking the Fear Out of Being Alone |
| |
Contacting a senior or physically challenged
adult on a daily basis helps to assure their well being and
gives them a feeling of security.
The Are You OK telephone system
eases the concern of friends and family who may find it difficult
to maintain consistent, reliable contact.
People want the independence of living alone along with the
security of being monitored. The Are
You OK System brings a sense of comfort into every client’s
home.
Each day at a specified time, the system automatically makes
the calls, inexpensively and without interruptions to normal
community services. |

|
| What It Is And How It Works |
| |
This system is designated to telephone
clients at a set time daily to confirm that they are okay. It
is a tool which helps the client to remain at home comfortable
with the knowledge that if they cannot answer for some reason
or other, assistance will be forthcoming.
If the client doesn’t answer after a preset number of
call attempts, an ALERT is issued. This is a print out of complete
background information on the client, including doctor’s
name and address, nearest friend or relative and medical history. |

| Things To Remember |
| |
- We must be notified if you are not going to be home for
your call. You may call anytime day or night and leave a
message on our answering machine.
- If you are hurt and need help— do not answer your
phone at the pre arranged time for your call or the 2 calls
that follow. Help will then be sent to you.
- The program is voice activated, therefore, if you have
an answering machine and it picks up the call we send, the
program will react in the same way as it would if you answered
it.
